In June 2023, we held EXOTIKON ONE Music & Arts Festival in Los Angeles, California. EXOTIKON celebrates the many worlds of VINTAGE TIKI, LOUNGE and EXOTICA! It was a whirlwind weekend filled with music, multimedia presentations, shopping, symposiums, exhibitions, rum tastings, meet and greets, live performance art, and so much more! If you love everything mid-20th century music and lifestyle, EXOTIKON is for you!

WHERE?
We at EXOTIKON are very proud to announce the show will be held at the HISTORIC MAYAN THEATER in Downtown Los Angeles! Built in 1927, it is truly one of the most amazing ORIGINAL Exotica venues creating the type of unforgettable immersive environment Peekaboo Gallery is known for.

Parking is easy with three big parking lots within a block of the venue with one literally across the street. Downtown is very easy to access on the weekend, especially Sunday.

1.) The story of AZTEC ARCHITECTURE and OTHER MAYANISMS live from the HISTORIC MAYAN THEATER: Sven Kirsten will reveal a largely forgotten chapter of America’s fascination with Pre-Columbiana that brought forth splendid Mayan and Aztec temples in urban centers all across the United States.
2.) YMA SUMAC: The Queen of EXOTICA with DAMON DEVINE: Explore the fascinating story of one of the most unique performers of all time! Dive deep into the diva’s archives with rare audio and film footage.

A YMA SUMAC Concert Experience!
A “last chance encore performance” to see the HIT musical act from EXOTIKON ONE! Prolific film composer, EGO PLUM and his full orchestra will recreate an evening with YMA SUMAC on stage. Vocalist, LENA MARIE CARDINALE has what it takes to carry the torch for the SUN GODDESS. Several new Christmas-themed songs will be presented from an imaginary YMA SUMAC CHRISTMAS ALBUM!
