EXOTIKON: SUPER SHOCK SHOW! is our horror themed sister festival to EXOTIKON.
This is VINTAGE SPOOK SHOW EXPERIENCE to be held THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3rd at the MAYAN THEATER in Downtown Los Angeles. This 21+ event is a full evening running from 7pm to 11pm.
This celebration is steeped in classic HALLOWEEN and HORROR with non-stop entertainment. A Spook Show Bar with themed HORROR COCKTAILS, a gallery exhibition of VINTAGE SPOOK SHOW posters and memorabilia, themed projection shows with curated SPOOK MUZAK, our GHOUL-FRIEND BURLESQUE performances, live musical sets by Theremin virtuoso, GHOULY GAL and JIMMY PSYCHO and the INFERNAL ORDER of the BLACK FLAME, a fun SPOOK SHOW historical symposium and a true, vintage SPOOK SHOW magic performance ON STAGE by world-renown conjurer of the spirit world, ZABRECKY!
Our show is HORRIFYING! GHOSTS will FLY THRU THE THEATER! SKELETONS will come to life and parade on stage! MONSTERS will run among you in the AUDIENCE!

WHY?
SPOOK SHOWS were a massively popular form of entertainment that have a long and now, somewhat obscure history. They were essentially OLD-SCHOOL traveling HORROR-THEMED MAGIC SHOWS that scared the hell out of audiences across the country. Running from the 1930s to the 1970s, SPOOK SHOWS eventually died off and now, we at EXOTIKON have decided to bring back the TRUE SPOOK SHOW EXPERIENCE! PEEKABOO GALLERY known for its curation of vintage history. We are currently working on a beautiful art book of this colorful subject. This October, we will share with you our passion of this lost art form and vast collection of authentic artifacts in an all-new immersive experience!

This incredible event will be held at the historic, original 1923 MAYAN THEATER in Downtown Los Angeles. Join us as we fill this wonderful auditorium with more THRILLS and CHILLS than your heart can stand! Weeknight parking is easy and there are many paid parking lots adjacent to the venue as well as ample street parking. This is a 21+ event. No children, please.
